    Pros:

    Along with Doctors, they're the best party characters
    Many good group buffs
    Great class for training with a pet, due to Pet Sounds skill set
    Sonic Strike is a relatively strong attack with a tiny cooldown time

    Cons:

    Almost no damage dealing capabilities
    Self buffs cause you to be unable to defend yourself for a short time
    If you aren't in a party, leveling is painfully slow
    MP can deplete rather quickly (can be combatted with Spring Cleaning, a Shaman skill or the Doctor skill Inner Magic)
    Using a buff will attract monsters in the near vicinity to you



    Qualification
    To gain the Musician qualification you must be at least level 10. Speak with Hannah the Dancer in Placid Plain (accessible from Eversun South) and she will hand you the Lute. Take the Lute to Ali the Craftsman in the southwestern farming area (approx. X:169, Y:481), and he will fix it for 1 Vine Rope, 1 Down and 100 Gold. Wait one minute for him to complete the repair/upgrade, speak to him again to receive the upgraded Lute, and return to Hannah the Dancer to earn your qualification.
    Down can be obtained by gathering 20 Chicken Feathers through the Herding skill and refining them, or often it can be

    Sonic Swipe : Single Target; Attack and increases attack, magical attack and attack speed. Stackable (max 3) Length of 1 minute per buff. (Requires Musical Instrument)

    Mystic Mantra : Chant; Recover nearby team member's MP over 40 seconds. This skill does not affect yourself. (Requires Musical Instrument) Cooldown Time: 40 seconds. Causes 'The Musician is playing!' debuff which prevents any other action, including movement, for 10 seconds.

    Going by this pattern, one can assume that MP recovery (where level of skill = n) is : 8 + (n*Cool and MP cost is : 2 + (n*2)

    Echo Guard : Chant; Protects nearby team members and gives a chance of reflecting magical attacks. (Requires Musical Instrument)

    Soothing Serenade : Song; Recovers the HP of nearby team member's pet.

    Song of Serenity : Song; Recovers the MP of nearby team member's pet.

    Power Ballad : Song; Increases nearby pet's attack and magical attack.

    Defensive Ditty : Song; Increases nearby pet's defense and magic defense.

    Cheery Tune : Song; Increases nearby pet's HP and MP.

    Resurrect Pet : Skill; Resurrect a pet.

    Pet Snack Song : Song; Turns enemies into pet food. Attack them to recover pets' HP and MP.

    Pet Training Song : Song; Increase nearby pet's accuracy and magical accuracy. Reflect up some dmg.

    Pet Prayer : Song; Increase nearby pet's magical evasion and block success.

    Pet Praising Song : Song; Increase critical attack, movement speed and HP/MP recovery rate.

    Musicianship
    Equip Musical Instrument : Allow you to equip Musical Instrument on another class with talent penalty.

    Bardship : Allows Musical Instrument to be used regardless of job at 5% of their full strength. (Note - On the European server at least, this skill and those similar to it, such as Spear Mastery, don't appear to actually work, therefore it would be advised not to put points into this skill)

    2 Wis/1 Agi: Good Magic Attack, Fair evasion, Fair cool downs, Fair Physical Attack, low accuracy.
    2 Agi/1 Dex: Good Physical Attack, Good evasion, Good cool downs, Fair accuracy, low Magic Attack, low MP
    1 Agi/1 Wis/1 Dex: Fair Physical Attack, evasion, cool downs, Magic Attack and MP. Soloist build.
    Pure Wis: Best Magic Attack and MP pool. Low evasion, physical attack and accuracy.
    Pure Agi: Good Physical Attack, evasion and cool downs. Low Magic Attack, MP and accuracy.

    1 Wisdom = 0.87 Attack + 2.27 MP + .47 MagAtt + .33 MagDef
    1 Agility = 1.13 Attack + .93 Evasion + .27 MagEvasion
